Description

Read wg_manuscript_revision_prompt.md and paper_prep/manuscript_revision/00_inventory.md, then validate the fanout graph for this revision cycle.

Your job is graph design and dependency sanity, not scientific rewriting. Inspect the WG tasks under the manuscript-revision-* prefix. If a required task from the prompt is missing, add it with wg add and appropriate dependencies. If a task is unsafe (J-task doing direct edits, heavy head-node compute, ambiguous dependency), record a correction and either edit the task or add a blocking clarification task.

Deliverable: write paper_prep/manuscript_revision/01_fanout_graph.md containing:

  • final dependency graph summary by cluster A-G
  • which tasks are Mechanical vs Judgment vs Compute
  • which tasks may edit manuscript vs must only write decision records
  • which compute tasks require Slurm and the recommended resource shape
  • explicit fan-in/synthesis dependencies

Register the artifact with wg artifact.

Validation

  • paper_prep/manuscript_revision/01_fanout_graph.md exists
  • It confirms every prompt item A-1..G-3 is represented or intentionally deferred
  • It marks J tasks as decision-record only unless a named author decision exists
  • It includes Slurm/head-node safety rules for C-0/D-1/F-3
  • It identifies any graph edits it made

Latest user instruction for graph validation: downstream manuscript-revision workers are authorized to fan out into wg subtasks when the work becomes complex. This includes data discovery, script-writing, Slurm submission/polling/logging, validation, and synthesis subtasks. Prefer wg subtasks for larger processing analyses and job-management work. Heavy compute must not run on the head node; use Slurm/compute nodes and log job IDs, commands, resources, stdout/stderr, and artifacts. Keep J tasks decision-record-only unless a named author decision exists.

Acknowledged — incorporated in 01_fanout_graph.md: downstream workers may fan out into WG subtasks for complex analyses/job management; heavy compute requires Slurm with job IDs, commands, resources, stdout/stderr, and artifacts logged; J tasks remain decision-record-only unless a named author decision exists.
