LIT-REVIEW TOPIC TASK — claude:opus REDISPATCH AFTER REPEATED BAIL

##############################################################################

REPEATED FAILURE WARNING.

This task has bailed twice now: once on codex:gpt-5.5 (first round, 30-60s

bail without writing files), once on claude:sonnet (second round, also

bailed silently while 12/14 sister topics succeeded). You are claude:opus

on the third try. Do the work properly.

WHAT YOU MUST PRODUCE.

Two committed files:

paper_prep/lit_review/topic_NN_.md (>= 1500 words, structured)

paper_prep/lit_review/topic_NN_.bib (>= 10 BibTeX entries)

REQUIRED STEP ORDER. Do these in sequence:

STEP 1 — orient (~3 min):

Read paper_prep/synthesis/ABSTRACT_nature.md (or ABSTRACT_BoG.md fallback).

Read paper_prep/synthesis/CROSSWALK.md sections 1-3.

Read end-to-end-report/report/12_literature.md.

Read existing benchmark files: paper_prep/lit_review/topic_03_*.md and

topic_06_.md (or any other topic_NN_.md visible) — these are quality

templates. Match or exceed their depth and structure.

Run wg log <task-id> "Step 1 done — substrate read".

STEP 2 — search (~10 min):

Use WebSearch to find 10-30 papers in scope. Capture citation-quality

metadata for each. Run wg log <task-id> "Step 2 done — found N papers".

STEP 3 — write the .md (~20 min):

File: paper_prep/lit_review/topic_NN_.md

Required structure (5 sections, ~300 words each, ~1500 floor):

## Era overview

## Key papers in chronological order

## Findings most relevant to claim Cn of the abstract

## How this topic intersects adjacent topics

## Open questions and recent developments

Cite inline using \cite{key} or [Author Year]. Run `wg log

"Step 3 done — wrote N words"`.

STEP 4 — write the .bib (~5 min):

File: paper_prep/lit_review/topic_NN_.bib

Min 10 BibTeX entries. Required fields: author, title, year, journal/

booktitle, doi or url. Use slug as key prefix. Do NOT duplicate entries

already in paper_prep/synthesis/REFERENCES.bib (check first via

grep -E "^@" paper_prep/synthesis/REFERENCES.bib). Run `wg log

"Step 4 done — wrote N entries"`.

STEP 5 — verify on disk:

ls -la paper_prep/lit_review/topic_*.md # your file exists

ls -la paper_prep/lit_review/topic_*.bib # your file exists

wc -w paper_prep/lit_review/topic_*.md # >= 1500

grep -c "^@" paper_prep/lit_review/topic_*.bib # >= 10

If any check fails, return to step 3 or 4.

STEP 6 — commit:

git add paper_prep/lit_review/topic_NN_.md paper_prep/lit_review/topic_NN_.bib

git commit -m "docs: lit review topic NN — "

Run wg log <task-id> "Step 6 done — committed <hash>".

STEP 7 — record + done:

wg artifact paper_prep/lit_review/topic_NN_*.md

wg artifact paper_prep/lit_review/topic_NN_*.bib

wg done

DO NOT call wg done before Step 6 has committed both files. The prior two

rounds had agents calling done in 30-60s without writing anything. Be the

agent that actually produces the files.

THIS TOPIC (05 — slug: acrocentric_rdna_robertsonian): Acrocentric short arms (chr13/14/15/21/22 p-arms). They share rDNA arrays + satellite repeats; they undergo Robertsonian translocation (~1/1000 newborns). Floutsakou et al. on rDNA-distal duplicons; Henderson 1972 NORs; Robertson 1916. Guarracino 2023 acrocentric pseudohomology paper (the predecessor in the same arc as this manuscript) and de Lima/Guarracino 2025 Robertsonian. Why acrocentrics are the canonical pseudohomology system. TIME RANGE: 1916-present. SEED REFERENCES: Guarracino 2023 acrocentric; de Lima/Guarracino 2025 Robertsonian; Floutsakou 2013; Henderson 1972 NORs; Robertson 1916. Find ~15-25 more covering rDNA evolution, NOR sharing, satellite analysis, Robertsonian breakpoints. Anchor claim(s) per CROSSWALK: C5 (acrocentric clade), C8 (concerted evolution at rDNA).
