Description

Description

Five inputs land:

  • 4 voice-study alternatives for Erik's flagged rough paragraph
  • 1 site audit identifying any other rough spots

This task synthesizes them into a deploy-ready website plan AND verifies the proposed website text stays coherent with workgraph_google_application_FINAL_v3_1.md (the grant). If they drift, propose minimal v3.1 edits to maintain alignment OR minimal website edits, whichever is smaller.

What to read

  1. ~/poietic.life/notes/website-voice-a-direct.md
  2. ~/poietic.life/notes/website-voice-b-concrete.md
  3. ~/poietic.life/notes/website-voice-c-understated.md
  4. ~/poietic.life/notes/website-voice-d-firstperson.md
  5. ~/poietic.life/notes/website-site-audit-20260501.md
  6. ~/poietic.life/index.html (current deployed)
  7. workgraph_google_application_FINAL_v3_1.md — the grant in its v3.1 state (use git show if it's on a worktree branch, otherwise read main)
  8. ~/poietic.life/notes/v3-1-final-coherency-review-20260501.md — the coherency verdict

What to do

Part 1: Pick the voice

Read all 4 voice-study options against Erik's diagnosis ('too self-aware, kind of uncanny'). Recommend ONE voice (or a hybrid: e.g., 'lead with voice C, append voice B's concrete examples'). Justify in 100 words.

Part 2: Compose deploy-ready text

Drop-in replacement for the rough paragraph, in the chosen voice. Show before/after. Include the incorporation-trace URL (https://ulivo.poietic.life/wg/feeds/incorporation-trace/) where the site audit recommended.

Part 3: Apply site audit fixes

For each other rough spot the site audit flagged, include the proposed fix (or 'defer' verdict if not worth doing same-day).

Part 4: Grant ↔ website alignment check

Read v3.1 alongside the proposed website text. Confirm:

  • Same dogfooding voice (founders use this on their own work)
  • Same level of confidence (no 'in production today' overclaim; no 'we wrote this proposal with WorkGraph' recursion claim)
  • Same founder framing (Erik / Luca / Vaughn order, no PI language)
  • Same WorkGraph description (open source MIT, Rust, persistent task graph)
  • Same factual claims about adoption, lab use, incorporation trace

If the website and v3.1 drift on any of these, propose the SMALLEST edit (to either side) to bring them back in line. Default: prefer adjusting the website, since v3.1 is hours from submission.

Part 5: Deploy plan

Concrete steps: which file to edit, what HTML to drop in, what to commit, where to push, what to verify.

Output

~/poietic.life/notes/website-synthesis-and-alignment-20260501.md (under 1500 words):

  1. Voice recommendation with 100-word justification
  2. Final replacement text (drop-in HTML)
  3. Site audit fixes consolidated (with priority: must-fix / nice-to-have / defer)
  4. Grant ↔ website alignment table (item / v3.1 says / website says / aligned? / fix?)
  5. Deploy plan (steps, commits, verification)

wg log a one-paragraph summary on this task.

Constraints

  • No em-dashes.
  • Don't manufacture website fixes for sections that read clean.
  • v3.1 takes precedence: if the website's proposed text would force a v3.1 change, ask whether the v3.1 change is also in scope (likely no — defer).
  • Under 1500 words.

Validation

  • All 5 input files read
  • One voice recommended with explicit justification
  • Drop-in replacement text composed
  • Incorporation-trace URL placed
  • Site audit fixes prioritized
  • Grant ↔ website alignment verified item-by-item
  • Deploy plan is executable
  • Output at ~/poietic.life/notes/website-synthesis-and-alignment-YYYYMMDD.md

ERIK ADDITION (must incorporate): When you compose the final replacement text, include a sentence in the spirit of: 'We use it to run incorporation, writing, grant drafting, and research coordination in public enough to be evaluated. And even this website!'

The closing 'And even this website!' is verbatim Erik's call. It does two things:
    1. Closes the dogfooding loop (incorporation → writing → grant → research → the website you're reading)
    2. Adds light playful tone that breaks the 'uncanny' meta-philosophical voice Erik diagnosed

Place this sentence in the dogfooding paragraph (likely the second of the three paragraphs). Both incorporation trace AND poietic.life trace are now public:
    - https://ulivo.poietic.life/wg/feeds/incorporation-trace/ (live)
    - https://ulivo.poietic.life/wg/feeds/poietic-life/ (publishing now, should be live by the time you assemble)

Link the dogfooding sentence to one or both of these traces so 'in public enough to be evaluated' has a concrete backing. Use the word 'browse' or 'read' for the link CTA, NOT 'live demo' (Erik flagged 'live' overuse as too-many-CTAs noise).
